RATES
There are no Canoe and Kayak rentals at Bluff on a regular basis: You can bring your own canoe, kayak or motor boat. However, groups wanting to canoe or kayak can arrange with the Altamaha Coastal Tours for boats and shuttles.
From Beards Bluff to Darien on the coast is an 80 mile trip requiring 3 to 4 days ( three nights ) to complete. Most of the land on either side of the river is open to the public and there are generally great places to camp. Also, there are a two places to stop and refill water supplies.
Day trips on the Altamaha River from or to Beards Bluff can be arranged as well as the Ohoopee River which joins the Altamaha River a days float upstream. Great trips into the swamp surrounding Beards Creek is also a great easy trip for those wanting to fish, explore and to enjoy this wild wild place.
Great day Fishing Liscenses Required. Bring a Camera
Cabins: $20 / $25 with access to showers and laundry facilities.
Cook Houses: $12/18 (6-12 seating) with Stove, Frig and Sink.
Camping: $5 per tent with access to showers and laundry facilities.
